What they say may have elements of truth, but they marshal those facts in a way to give you a wholly false understanding of themselves. On today, Veterans Day, we honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and commitment to serve and sacrifice for the common good. We are reminded to think about the sacrifices and service of the men and women who have valiantly and selflessly committed themselves to military service to bring freedom and democracy to persons in other countries and under other government rule.
We make and keep commitments and willingly sacrifice so that others may enjoy a better life.
They fight so that others might enjoy the same freedoms we enjoy, and to ensure we continue to enjoy those freedoms ourselves.
It got me to thinking about how those of us not in the military are also committed to serve others and make sacrifices for them right here at home, every day.
No day is happier for Americans than today, July 4, the day we celebrate our Declaration of Independence.
We celebrate the unlimited possibilities of what can be accomplished when we set out to build a brighter future
