Listening is one of the hardest things we do. I find it easiest to listen when I have no emotional attachment to what the other person is saying. I suppose most of us are that way.
Listening to words that provoke anxiety can make us feel like pressure is building around our heads.
As soon as the other person’s statements or voice pitch summons anxiety in me, then it is very difficult to listen. Continue reading

About a month ago I got an email from my brokerage firm thanking me for my recent trade. Puzzled, because I hadn’t made a trade, and a little concerned that someone was messing with my account, I called.
