You may have noticed the banner across the top of this blog. It says two things – Hot Expresso, and Life Is Hot Cards.

HotExpresso is the name of a business I started with Brad many years ago. The name comes from my last name, Hotchkiss, and the fact we’re in the business of creating expressions – in video – customized for your needs. By the way, espresso is derived from the Italian word for express since espresso is made to order and served immediately to the customer.
In the center of the banner, in between the two words, is a postal cancellation mark bearing the words Life Is Hot Cards.
I haven’t said anything about it until now, but we’ve been busy creating a line of cards for all of the hard realities of life that come our way. Continue reading
Wednesday, March 20, is the Vernal equinox, the official start of spring in the northern hemisphere marking the time when nature’s life cycle begins anew.
Embrace the promise of the spring to come but don’t ignore the present
For many of us, it’s a time for renewed or fresh intentions to get in better shape, lose a few pounds, make plans for the summer. It’s time to finish the projects around the house that we put on the list back when it seemed winter would stretch on relentlessly, and we had nothing but time.
Now we have to hustle to get them done so that we can tackle the springtime projects.
Last month, I told you that the one resolution I made this year was to live life in honesty, openness and truth, to the best of my ability, in every interaction, in every matter.
Being at the helm of your life requires great skill to navigate the obstacles
I also said that I was only going to keep this resolution for one month, with an option to renew each month, and to let you know in early February how well it worked for me in January.
