Have you ever thought about how much courage it took to dream to be the first man on the moon?
The Virgin Galactic and Orbital Sciences unmanned rocket mishaps earlier this month are certainly not the first space flights to have failed. You may remember the Space Shuttle Challenger and Columbia explosions that killed all aboard. The first Apollo mission, Apollo 1, burned up on the launch pad, killing three astronauts. Earlier Gemini and Mercury missions had their share of failures of both manned and unmanned flights.
Put a man on the moon? Impossible! we thought until President John F. Kennedy announced in 1961 that we would put a man on the moon before the end of the decade.
What do you dream of that seems impossible?
What have you tried to accomplish and been met with set-backs, disappointments, perhaps even epic failures?
It’s not whether you fall down, it’s whether you get back up and try again that matters.
When your goal seems impossibly distant, cold and outside of your grasp, take a break. Rethink your strategies. Find others to help you. Approach the problem from a different angle.
Do anything except give up.
Never Give Up Your Dream
It’s your dream. It matters to you or you wouldn’t have it. Don’t let a few setbacks tell you that you shouldn’t hold on to your dream.
Failures are merely the discovery of ways that do not work.
When you dream big, you understand your true purpose in life. To pursue your dream is to pursue your true calling. When you dream big and attempt the impossible, you open doors to success and possibilities and no matter whether you reach your goal or not, you’ll achieve much more than you ever thought you could.
It’s your choice to dream big and to attempt the impossible.
You don’t have to be one of those people who talk about a big dream and never take any action to achieve it. Or worse, one of the many who tried, encountered a few setbacks, got discouraged and went home. Or, one of the many more who never tried. They lack the courage to find answers, to persevere, to dream of success where others only see obstacles.
Be true to your dreams. Be true to yourself. Dream big. Be courageous and work hard. You’ll reach your moon.
All of us failed to match our dreams of perfection.
So I rate us on the basis of our splendid failure to do the impossible.
Life Is Honest, Open and True: When you believe in yourself and want the best for yourself, you have the courage to dream big and to pursue your dreams.
