“It’s a bold move on your part to
make the choice to live in a new way.”
~ D’Anne Hotchkiss
I wrote those words a few weeks ago in a blog post called, “Where Lies Your Freedom.”
Making a choice to live in a new way is only the first giant leap of faith in yourself. Making the changes necessary to realize that new way of life is the second giant leap of faith in yourself.
You need courage to change because it is not easy to give up what is comfortable and familiar, even when you know in your heart of hearts that what you’ve been doing isn’t working any longer and you can’t hide from that fact any more.
Perhaps you’re struggling with some part of your life, perhaps depression in the way that Robin Williams did, or obesity, the way Joe Ostaszewski did, or addiction to alcohol, drugs or even sex, like Tiger Woods. Or perhaps you’re struggling with the grief of a profound loss. Whatever it is, the first step is to accept the help that others offer to you.
The bridges of friendship are built with two full lanes, one in each direction, so that you can be there for others when they need you, and so they can be there for you when you need them.
It all starts with you when you make the decision to accept the help that is being offered to you.
Life Is Honest, Open and True: You deserve the best that life has to offer to you. If you are weighed down, unable to soar, accept the help that is offered to you and let go of what holds you back. I believe in you and want the best for you and know you can achieve the best for yourself.
